The International Exhibition Centre and other venues around the city of Doha are the stages for the Summer Wonders festival. The popular event attracts around 40,000 visitors every year and features music, dance and circus performances from around the world, re-enactments, parades, fireworks, shopping bargains and a number of cool educational activities.

The programme varies slightly every year, keeping the crowd coming back. Successful initiatives, generally held at the Exhibition Centre, have included a replica of the rainforest, an Antiques Village, taking visitors back to Qatar's Bedouin past, and Beshara Iceland, an indoor snow village recreating a typical winter environment in northern countries.
